Joins The Top League: New Art The Clown Funko Pops Are Here
We’ve written quite a bit here on the site about Art the Clown, one of the favorite horror characters of recent years and who might be an icon someday. But how exactly was an icon born? Since we live in a world where consumerism plays a role, one could argue (sarcastically or not) that the amount of merchandise or collectibles associated with that character is part of the story. In the context of clown art, the direction is favorable because there are already quite a few costumes, dolls (for example, from the prestigious LDD collection), and other items, including Funko Pop figures which we think will be a massive hit among horror fans.
We recently heard about a new line of Art the Clown pop figures, with some first models and promises of what’s to come. And the truth? It looks cool!
Why Do You Need Art The Clown Funko Pops?
Scary Funko Pops are one of the most beloved collectibles among horror lovers, so it seems it was only a matter of time before a popular character like the Crazy Clown was added to the extensive catalog. Sometimes, the characters are added to the horror catalog after they catch the attention of horror fans, for example, the characters of Megan or even the vampire Abigail, who recently got her own Funko Pop.
In other cases, the figurine can be seen as part of the promotional efforts of the new movie, even real: perhaps the most obvious example of this is the Funko Pops inspired by the heroes (and that scary alien) of “Alien: Romulus,” which will arrive in theaters in just a few months.
In any case, Clown Art Pop dolls can be great collectibles for several reasons:
✅ Art The Clown Funko Pops, like the characterization of Art himself (which stands out in his visual appearance, with the makeup in black and white tones, the outfit, the little hat, etc.)
✅ They are undoubtedly accessible from an economic point of view, with a price of several tens of dollars per pop.
✅ They don’t take up much space on the shelf, even if you choose to keep them in the original packaging (as many horror collectors do)
✅ Art the Clown pops are great for those who want to express their love for horror movies or even the fact that they know what is hot in horror (because, after all, we are talking here about a character that has been added to our nightmares in recent years)
“It’s A Dream Come True”
So far, we learned about five models of Art the Clown Pops, which were probably received with joy by many horror fans (if what’s happening on social media is anything to go by). Some of the buzz is shared by the filmmakers, who solemnly announced the new addition to the Funko family.
Damien Leona, the director of all the franchise films and who gave birth to Art, reacted solemnly.” I can honestly say there’s nothing cooler than this! I’ve been dying to share this news for almost a year and now that I see people are pre-ordering, it’s time to share! We have an official line of Art the Clown Funko Pops,” he wrote.
“As a funko collector, I must say this is one of the biggest honors and a dream come true! Most importantly, I’m excited for you guys because I can’t tell you how many Terrifier fans have come up to me over the years asking when an official Pop is gonna be released! Well, here they are, and I really hope you enjoy them!”.
David Howard Thornton, who plays Art in the latest films, also posted a short and emotional post: “Life Goal Achieved,” with a clown emoji.
Where Can You Find Art The Clown Funko Pop For Sale?
At this stage, Funko has launched three types of Art the Clown Funkos pre-order: a standard doll of Art the Clown, a bloody pop figure, and a pop of Art riding a bicycle. The first Art The Clown Funko Pops pre order should reach the lucky buyers starting in November.
Terrifier 2 Art the Clown Bloody Funko Pop! (4.2 inches)
Terrifier Art The Clown Funko Pop! With Knife (4.2 inches)
Terrifier Art the Clown with Bike Funko Pop!
Art The Clown Funko Pop With Glasses (Not Yet Launched For Pre-order)
Two more figures should be out soon, in which Art wears the sunflower glasses: a “regular” version and a bloody version that will probably come in a limited edition.
The Good News: More Terrifier Funko Pops Are Coming!
We won’t be surprised if more characters from the Terrifier franchise will enter the picture in the coming months. There are many options, like Funko Pops of Sienna (“The Final Girl,” played by the excellent Lauren LaVera), The Little Pale Girl (Art’s sidekick from the second movie), Victoria (who according to some rumors, will get a more significant role in the third film) and of course other variations of Art as well. We would love, for example, a pop of the clown with the associated black bag.
Either way, the new Terrifier Funko Pops are a great addition to horror collectors, especially the ones who fell in love with Art in recent years.
