Chucky & Tiffany Movie Moment Funko Pop!: Love Always Kills
Every married couple has their marriage proposal. I only remember a few exciting marriage proposals in horror cinema. Still, you can undoubtedly find some bizarre moments: for example, a marriage proposal between two murderous dolls after a horrific killing and just before they have sex. The moment when Chucky proposes to Tiffany is one of the most memorable moments in the famous franchise, and it’s not a simple thing. Therefore, you could expect some collectible items inspired by that moment, like a Chucky and Tiffany Funko pop recreating this happy moment.
The Chucky & Tiffany Movie Moment Funko POP!, which may become one of the hits of the coming months among Chucky fans worldwide, is the product of a collaboration between two of the most prominent companies in the horror product sector. On the one hand, the most significant horror and Halloween product site in the United States is “Spirit Halloween.” On the other hand, the cooperation is with Funko, which is responsible for the Funko Pop products – perhaps the most beloved among collectors who love horror movies. The result is a very cool model that reproduces the “romantic” scene, part of a series that looks very intriguing on paper.
A Killer Marriage Proposal
It needs to be longer to detail Chucky’s events here. One of the most recognizable horror icons by now spawned a cult film called “Child’s Play” in 1988, followed by six sequels – including “Bride of Chucky,” the fourth film in the franchise, released in 1998. Then, there was also the somewhat redundant 2019 reboot with Aubrey Plaza, which took the doll into artificial intelligence. There is also a three-season TV series, the last of which was split into two parts and aired recently, which is a direct sequel to the seventh film in the original franchise. By the way, one of the series highlights the expected union between Chucky and Tiffany.
So, who is Tiffany Valentine anyway? As you probably already understood, she is Chucky’s bride, played and voiced by the legendary Jennifer Tilly. She was born in the fourth film, which many believe re-invigorated the then-quite-dead franchise. This film has much more humor and meta “Scream” style references, and most notably, it gave birth to the beloved Tiffany.
In a nutshell, the plot of the fourth movie centers around a pretty crazy girl named Tiffany, who steals Chucky’s body and manages to bring him back to life. Except our Chucky is a hard guy to get and refuses to marry her. An enraged Tiffany locks Chucky in a box, but Chucky breaks free and electrocutes her in the bathtub. The girl Tiffany’s soul is transferred to a rather creepy doll that she bought for Chucky, and the two team up on a killing spree to obtain some MacGuffin.
In the process, Chucky’s crush arrives. How can you say no to a sexy doll who murders a couple while having sex in a hotel, using pieces of mirrors? This scene, considered by many to be one of the most brutal and iconic of all the Chucky movies, probably made the red-haired doll realize that there are loves worth killing for (or with). In the shattered hotel room, on a checkered floor with bloodstains, with a romantic brother behind them, Chucky kneels, removes the ring from the unfortunate victim’s severed hand, asks the question you should ask in such situations, receives a positive answer and puts the ring on the hand.
The situation makes Tiffany cry (“I always cry at weddings”) and Chucky “feel like Pinocchio” (you know what that means. Hint: not because he’s lying). Then, they are having sex and continue to murder. In the following movies, their relationship had many ups and downs, like a couple discovered in a reality show. Still, if we rely on the union at the end of the third season of the television series “Chucky,” it seems that the comeback is happening.
Chucky & Tiffany Movie Moment Funko POP! Shows: True Love Never Dies
The good news is that Chucky and Tiffany fans will very soon be able to recreate this scene – minus the sex, we hope – on their collectibles shelf. The Bride of Chucky Movie Moment Funko Pop! contains two Funko pop figures made of vinyl, of Chucky and Tiffany, in a set about 3.5 inches tall that recreates that bizarre scene. Chucky kneels on a carpet soaked in bloodstains, which is lying on a black-and-white floor with shards of glass, with a romantic fire burning in the background. It is the perfect setting for a marriage proposal if you are two psychic dolls.
The limited edition is part of Funko Pop!’s Movie Moment series on Spirit Halloween, which recreates some classic scenes from other movies, which we’re happy are definitely for horror fans:
- The romantic (and touching!) scene where Victor and Emily hold hands in the woods, next to the lovable ghost dog, in Tim Burton’s excellent “Corpse Bride“
- The joint performance of the song “I Put a Spell On You” by the Sanderson sisters from “Hocus Pocus”
- The iconic pizza tray scene from the crazy clown movie “Killer Klowns From Outer Space,” where Bebo and Shorty (who comes out of a pizza tray) shoot their particular gun at some unfortunate character
