Georgia’s Diamond Bridge In Kass Land: Where Nature Sparkles, And Your Heart Races
The popularity of Georgia as a tourist attraction rose impressively in recent years, and for a reason. This charming country offers fascinating cities (especially the capital, Tbilisi, or the resort city of Batumi), spectacular natural sites, very affordable prices, and, no less critical, the Georgians are very nice people. Under these conditions, it is essential for us to “lift” to Georgia and introduce you to one of the country’s most special places, offering a solution for those seeking a varied vacation and attractions that take you to new heights of fear.
Now is the time to introduce you to the Kass Land complex, which includes a resort and a long list of attractions: the magnificent Diamond Bridge considered the highest glass bridge in the world, extreme activities such as cycling at breathtaking heights, the highest restaurant in the world, activities for children and even a resort with a kosher dining room, for the Jewish.
The Story of Kass Land Resort And Attractions
Kass Land is a relatively new tourist complex, which opened in 2022 with an investment of about 120 million Georgian lari (something like 44.5 million dollars). It is located in the Dashbashi Canyon in the Tsalka region of Georgia, about an hour and a half drive west of Tbilisi.
The complex was established with an investment of about $ 25 million by the Israeli Kass Group. Today, it offers a promising combination of adrenaline attractions, breathtaking views, and quality hospitality.
The first thing that stands out here is the location. The complex’s location is a fantastic nature reserve characterized by dramatic cliffs, snowy mountains, lush vegetation, and waterfalls. The canyon itself, at an altitude of about 1,500-1,000 meters above sea level, is a geological wonder that stretches for many kilometers, with natural steps formed over millions of years, and along which the Khrami stream flows all year round.
The combination of nature with modern attractions creates a beautiful contrast, making here suitable even for those who prefer to immerse themselves in nature. On the other hand, you will find people who see the attraction for precisely these reasons: a luxurious attraction and recreation complex that incorporates Georgian nature and modern buildings, which the critic would say is not fit perfectly here. According to this view, attractions based on pure natural design may be more suitable.
The Main Attraction In Kass Land: The Diamond Bridge
The undisputed star of the Kass Land complex is undoubtedly the famous Diamond Bridge – Don’t confuse it with the famous Diamond Bridge in Aberdeen, Scotland. The bridge, which is about 240 meters long, rises to a height of about 240 meters above the Tsalka Canyon, making it one of the highest and most impressive bridges in Europe. The bridge itself is made entirely of highly transparent glass, allowing visitors to experience a feeling of floating above the deep abyss, and incorporates thousands of gemstones. All of which contribute to a total weight of about 150 tons, according to reports.
If you have ever walked on a glass bridge of such an impressive height, you can attest to the fact that it is a frightening experience for a large number of people (especially those who suffer from a fear of heights regularly). Of course, contrary to what you can expect from horror and disaster movies, the current bridge is made of special glass that is entirely safe and strong enough to carry an impressive number of people at a time. The design is meant to be resistant to strong winds, extreme weather conditions, and earthquakes.
The view from the bridge is breathtaking. From every side, you will see a spectacular picture of Georgian nature in all its glory: the deep canyon with its dramatic cliffs, flowing waterfalls, green forests, and distant mountains. On clear days, you can see for tens of kilometers and make out small villages scattered throughout the valley. The picture changes depending on the season and weather: in winter, the landscape is covered in white snow, in spring everything blooms in bright green, and in autumn the golden colors create an extraordinary panoramic picture.
In the center of the bridge, you will find a diamond, made entirely of transparent glass, offering a 360-degree view of the nature that surrounds you. It is an impressive three-dimensional structure in terms of design, which serves as an observation deck and an “experience space”. As the diamond, you will find a coffee bar, which is open during the day and evening and offers hot and cold drinks, cocktails, and more. The bar was nominated for a Guinness World Record in the category “The Highest Suspended Bar in the World”.
The Diamond Bridge near Tbilisi is open daily, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Note: If you’ve seen the excellent “Final Destination: Bloodlines” in the cinema, you may be a little apprehensive about visiting the bridge and the skybar. If you haven’t seen it yet, it might be worth waiting until after the trip.
What Attractions Are There At The Diamond Bridge?
Kass Land offers a pretty impressive range of attractions designed for all ages, or for different levels of fear.
Sky Bike Line
Another interesting attraction at Kass Land, unique in Georgia, is the Bike Line. The ride takes place at the top of the Royal Canyon, which rises to a height of 1,100-1,448 meters above sea level, with the rider essentially going from one side of the canyon to the other, and back. It hangs on a rope about 240 meters long, and is of course completely tied and connected to a cable system that stretches above the canyon.
Although the ride is safe, equipped with the required safety measures, and undergoes regular inspections and maintenance, the reports we have received still describe it as a scary attraction, suitable for adrenaline enthusiasts.
Bike Line Opening Hours: Cycling on the Diamond Bridge operates Monday through Saturday, between 10:00 and 18:30.
Swinging In The Air
We continue with the giant swing, located on the edge of the canyon, not far away from the bike. It will allow you to swing in spectacular views, and, of course, at an impressive height above the ground, so you get an adrenaline experience, a feeling of levitation.
Here, too, you can be calm (or at least try to be), because the swing is supposed to be firmly attached to the cliff. Still, the dizzying height, the initial push that causes a feeling of a few seconds of free fall, and the breathtaking views make the swing no less successful than other high swings we know, such as the swing in Amsterdam that we wrote about recently or the very high swing in Berlin.
Opening hours: The high swing is open daily from 10:00 to 19:00.
Kass Land Attractions Park
If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, but still reach impressive speeds, try the go-kart tracks. Adults have a fast karting track of about 1.2 km in length, making it the longest of its kind in Europe. Children will enjoy a shorter and slower track, but it will still be fun for them, located at the other end of the complex. The tracks include straight roads, sharp turns, and overtaking areas.
You can also find in the attraction park:
- Rainbow Slides – about 25 colorful slides, placed next to each other in an action-packed area, including closed and open slides, tube slides, and more
- Water Slide – A water slide with tubes, of about 500 meters, which will allow you to maybe even get wet while you go down a winding path
- Kids Slide – A small area of regular slides for children
- A Rope Structure Course that is suitable for different age groups
- Jump High – A giant trampoline
- Spinning Boats – A rotating boat facility
- Food Trucks
Opening hours: The attraction park is open daily, between 10:00 and 19:00.
Hanging Walkways And A Waterfall: Nature Within Reach
Several trails depart from the Kass Land in the heart of Georgian nature. An excellent choice for families is Tsalka Canyon Natural Monument Trail, a 1.8 km long panoramic trail along the canyon, which will lead you to the impressive waterfall, surrounded by flowers of various shades. If you come in winter, you will enjoy the relatively rare sight, at least in some warm locations, of a frozen waterfall.
Please note that the trail is primarily suitable for adults and children over 1.2 meters tall, and that it naturally requires comfortable walking shoes. The trail may be closed on rainy or icy days, and it includes stairs, so it is not accessible to those with physical disabilities. In addition, the ascent may be quite physically demanding for some people.
In addition to the hiking trail, you can go on guided ATV tours in the valley (including those intended for families), jeep tours, horseback riding, and more. A short drive from Kasa Land, you will find additional natural sites, historical buildings, and traditional villages that will allow you to learn about the local traditions and lifestyle. There are also a few wineries, where Georgian wines are produced, which many consider to be the finest by any standard.
Diamond Bridge Resort: Luxurious Accommodation In The Heart Of Nature
An integral part of the Kass Land experience is the luxurious hotel located in the complex, the Diamond Bridge Resort, which offers accommodation and spa services. The hotel, which overlooks the magnificent view of the Tsalka Canyon, was designed to blend harmoniously with the natural environment, using local materials and environmentally friendly construction methods.
The hotel combines a modern building, which houses the shared facilities (the spa complex, pool, and bar), and warm and traditional cabins for accommodation, some of which are two-story. The hotel’s services include a luxurious restaurant serving traditional Georgian cuisine alongside advanced international cuisine, as well as a kosher dining room that is open midweek, but not on weekends and special Jewish occasions (for example, the Tisha B’Av fast). Accommodation is available on a variety of terms, from bed and breakfast to full board (three meals a day), with authentic performances on some evenings.
The hotel provides spa and wellness services designed to relax and rejuvenate after a day of activity, with professional massage rooms, a sauna, a heated swimming pool, and a gym equipped with advanced equipment. Some of the treatments are based on local traditions.
How Can You Visit Kass Land?
🏨 Accommodation at Kass Land Resort Georgia
You can visit the Kass Land complex in several different ways, depending on the needs and personal preferences of each visitor. The most convenient option is to stay at Kass Land Resort, which allows you to enjoy all the attractions over several days without time pressure.
It is important to note that this is not a resort in the complete sense of the word, say in the style of Center Parks hotels in Europe or the Mövenpick at Lake Balaton in Hungary. There are activities for children in the hotel and especially in the nearby complex. Still, those looking for a water park with slides, giant playrooms for children, and extreme sports complexes in the hotel, where you can spend even weeks, are likely to encounter difficulty. You can spend a few days here, but from our impressions, some families exhaust the complex in 2-3 days. They can spend the rest of their time in Georgia, either in the capital, Tbilisi, come to vacation in Batumi, or explore the magnificent nature of Georgia, which is no less impressive than in other areas (and some would say even more so) than the area surrounding Kass Land.
How do you book? You can book the Kass Land Resort on Booking.com. For your convenience, here is a search form that will show you the availability and prices for your dates:
🎫 Day Trips And Tours
Would you rather not sleep in a hotel and come here as part of a day trip? You can easily pay for the attractions or activities that interest you. The prices in the complex are relatively reasonable, especially compared to similar attractions in Europe or other developed countries. On the other hand, concerning attractions in Georgia, the prices here are higher, some say significantly. In tourism, as in life, everything is relative.
Day trips to the canyon depart from Tbilisi, which in some cases include a visit to the Diamond Bridge. One of the popular day trips departs from Tbilisi and lasts about seven hours (consider about two hours of travel each way). It includes a guided tour of the place and free time, which you can use to visit the bridge itself (for an additional fee) or one of the extreme activities (also for a fee). Afterwards, you will also do a short tour of the canyon itself. Alternatively, a more expensive option is to book a private guided tour or embark on a multi-day trip to southwest Georgia, with Tbilisi as the starting point.
If you are coming for a day trip, check the weather first. In the case of particularly rainy or windy days, many of the attractions – including the bridge or the extreme activities – may not operate.
How to book? Here you can see the main Diamond Bridge day trips departing from Tbilisi via the Get Your Guide website. Tickets can be easily booked on a specific date via the website, paid for later, and cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the chosen date.

🚗 Car Rental In Georgia
Renting a car in Georgia is not only the most economical and practical solution to explore this fascinating country, but also the most convenient way to visit the Diamond Bridge area for a few hours or even a few days. You will find car rental stations from international and local companies, mainly in the big cities or at transit stations (airports, train stations), and the prices can be very affordable compared to what we know from most European countries.
The road there, in any case, is gorgeous and passes through natural sites, traditional Georgian villages, and mountainous landscapes. The road to the complex is almost entirely paved, allowing you to leave your SUVs for other routes throughout Georgia. The roads leading to the Diamond Bridge are well-maintained and allow for a safe and comfortable ride, even for those who are unfamiliar with the area. Of course, we highly recommend using a GPS device. Note that in Georgia, you can also rent a car with a local driver, for an additional fee – a solution that can make your life even easier.
Over the years, considerable attention has been given to the fact that driving on Georgian roads is a relatively complex task due to the combination of problematic infrastructure and drivers who tend to drive a little wildly. The good news is that in recent years, there has been an improvement in both of these aspects, and today it is safer to drive in Georgia. It is not certain that this is the easiest country to rent a car in, but in Europe and even nearby, you will find some more complex countries.
How do you rent a car in Georgia? We recommend comparing prices based on your holiday dates, the type of car (considering the number of passengers and luggage), and the required transmission (manual or automatic, etc.). You can do this in seconds with sites like Discover Cars or Auto Europe, which compare the leading agents and rental companies on the playing field.
